Olivia Foster Rejoins Admiral Movers
OLIVIA FOSTER REJOINS ADMIRAL MOVERS AS VICE PRESIDENT & CONTROLLER
MONTGOMERY, AL — (April 11, 2017) – Olivia Foster Vice President has rejoined Admiral Movers as vice president and controller. She will also serve as operations manager. Foster, who was born and raised in Sylacauga, worked at Admiral Movers as move coordinator while attending Huntingdon College, where she graduated with an accounting degree. She became the controller after graduation and assisted with the operations department.
Her new duties include overseeing the firm’s finances and ensuring that all paperwork related to moves is complete and accurate. She will schedule the moving crews and work with customers to make their move as seamless as possible.
“I am so excited that Olivia has come back to our Admiral Movers’ family, said Scott McNelley, president of Admiral Movers. “She will again be a great asset for the company. I know that she will take care of our customers and will be actively engaged in the community.”
Foster said that she wants to “connect with our customers.” Foster, who hopes to join Emerge Montgomery – an organization for young professionals – will represent Admiral Movers at Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce networking events. She is looking for opportunities for volunteering.
“I am so thrilled to be back with Admiral Movers,” Foster said one week after returning to the company. “Admiral has the absolute best customers, and I’m looking forward to connecting with them and building relationships in the community so that we can improve our services. Whether it is moving, logistics, shredding or records storage, we want to be viewed as a valuable partner, and I am looking forward to helping with that in any way that I can.”
Foster spent nearly five years working for Southern Co. at its Birmingham office. She served as relocation program coordinator in the firm’s $30 million program that handles moves for new hires, transfers, and executives across all the company’s subsidiaries:
Alabama Power, Georgia Power, Mississippi Power, Gulf Power and Southern Nuclear.
She was responsible for maintaining relationships with employees and their families, managers, human resource partners, accounting and various vendors associated with moving.
During that time, Foster reported monthly to the accounting department and management and reported quarterly to the payroll department. She was a member of the Metro Atlanta Relocation Council and the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council.
She also worked as a human resources business consultant in the firm’s operations talent management department. Foster helped redesign and execute the new supervisor training program;, coordinate the new hire orientation sessions; and provide data and analytics regarding demographics, headcount and employee engagement results.
Foster was this year’s merit and bonus coordinator for the 6,300-employee operations department.
